You can barter with baked goods and hand-stitched designer clothing. ;)Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13025832536749983018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-44153327583799894.post-29569301659556364862011-04-03T21:45:17.730-05:002011-04-03T21:45:17.730-05:00If the price of stamps keep going up it might be c...If the price of stamps keep going up it might be cheaper to drive to the location and pay in person! I usually let he who loves to run errands handle post office visits ...... he's quite personable and the older ladies are charmed by him.Kathy's Klotheslinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17881966393157941515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-44153327583799894.post-6773284955017187042011-04-02T16:00:50.740-05:002011-04-02T16:00:50.740-05:00knancy,

I just find it hard to believe that I don't even get junk mail on a Thursday. He probably picks one route a day to short people on their link with the outside world. It's not like anybody is going to follow his truck and spy on him to see if he is doing the job the federal government pays him to do.

Still, he beats the postmaster in Sheldon, Missouri, who used to read my People Magazine every week. How did I know? Because after weeks of receiving it in my P O Box every Monday, I started getting it on Wednesdays. The constant cookie crumbs falling out of it did not help his case. For the record, cookie crumbs leave grease spots on the pages.Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13025832536749983018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-44153327583799894.post-91644598638385444532011-04-01T21:38:57.498-05:002011-04-01T21:38:57.498-05:00I'm with you about not paying bills online. P...I'm with you about not paying bills online. Plus, when I did check into this, seems like they charge at least a dollar if you do so. What's up with that? I thought this was more for their convenience as in a lot of instances they just take it out of your bank account automatically. Also, the last place I worked threatened me each time I picked up my hardcopy paycheck with stories of it not being there or they (the HR people who hold them until pickup) would not be there so I should change to direct deposit. Plus, acording to them, it was more expensive for the company to print and mail hard copies. Bull crap! I have woked with so many corporate dumbo robots it makes me feel like I'm on an elevator to hell.
And then there's the post offce. I keep hearing we are going to five day only mail delivery (no Saturdays)and there will be closings of city post offices. Stamps may go black market status soon so make sure you stick some in your handbaskets.knancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01676773933097423968noreply@blogger.com
